Prayer Ministry

Meet Steve and Audrey Roberts, leaders of our Prayer Ministry at The Gathering, and what a gift they are!

When the LORD introduced us to each other in 1994, He made it clear very early on that we were to be married and He would fashion the two of us together as one flesh. We even fell in love working side-by-side on the National Day of Prayer!

The LORD said that He would make us as a weapon in His hands through prayer. We had no idea what He meant or how He was going to do it. However, through the years we’ve found our greatest daily joy is coming together to seek Him each morning. Prayer has become woven as a thread throughout all of our daily life and marriage, producing our deepest satisfaction and eternal fruitfulness.  

We love praying for the needs of others, for the church, for all the churches in our community, for our nation and the world as He leads. Hearing His heart, receiving His counsel and then praying His plans into the earth is so amazing. What a journey we have been on.

Our call also involves encouraging others to grow more deeply in their walk with Him and then to discover their calling in whatever role He has chosen and destined them for. We love to support, pray for and walk with people as they learn how to abide in God’s strength and carry out their calling out through prayer and intimacy with the LORD.
